Job Summary

       We are looking for an experienced MongoDB developer/ DBA /Architect who will maintain MongoDB databases while optimizing the performance, security, the availability of MongoDB clusters.

Core Duties

•  Should have good experience in MongoDB
• Maintain and configure MongoDB instances
• Keep clear documentation of the database setup and architecture
• Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery. Automate all DBA activities.
• Ensure that the databases achieve maximum performance and availability
• Design indexing strategies
• Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets
• Upgrade databases through patches
• Experience in optimizing insertions of large amounts of data
• Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Puppet | Ansible | others.
• Work closely with the application team to understand what changes are coming in a build/patch/hotfix, do an impact analysis, fine-tune the queries if any
• Automate the process of deploying DB changes so that we can support this for a new build/patch/hotfix
• Experience with Microsoft Azure desirable
• Database hardening – implement best practices.
• Design and implement DR plans & HA solutions and recommendations.
• (Optional) MS SQL server 2016 and above. Good Knowledge on Backup and Recovery
• Create roles and users and set their permissions

Education

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar relevant study
• Specialized technical knowledge of the MongoDB platform or similar NoSQL technologies

• Passionate about embracing new database technologies
• Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills to handle various critical situations
• Write efficient queries
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience.
• Design, implement and manage the security of MongoDB databases
